All Element Web Essentials software require a minimum installation of the Microsoft.NET Framework in order to function. The minimum supported version is Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. If you are a Windows XP user, then this framework is automatically installed for you. Depending on the product requirements, if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, the installer may upgrade your OS to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, or Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0, depending on which products depend on which packages.
The installer will not start on systems without Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 installed.
By system requirements, we mean the minimum level your computer should be capable of in order to run the products successfully at optimal speed and experience.
Element Browser
Windows XP Users will be offered Element Browser 3.1. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users will be offered Element Browser 4.0. Element Browser 4.0 or higher does not support Windows XP or lower.
